He's a world-class athlete who tends to his business. His business is rodeo.
And over the course of his 15-year career as a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Wes has long been considered one of the best hands going down the rodeo trail.
Wes has been one of the best regional cowboys in rodeo, having won the saddle bronc riding crown in the Great Lakes Circuit in 2005 and the Prairie Circuit in 1999 and 2000. In 2007, he was literally inches away from winning the Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo during the American Royal in Kansas City, Mo.
His prowess in the rodeo arena propelled him to scholarships at Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he earned a degree in business management. He qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo three times in bronc riding and twice in steer wrestling, finishing fifth in the 1996 bulldogging championship.
He and his lovely wife, Richell, live on a ranch near Tampa, Kan., where Wes works when he's not competing among the best in ProRodeo.
